Reflection

1.     I was expecting to learn how the Arts could be used to communicate better with others. This course has met my expectations because I was able to learn that no matter what subject one is studying, or profession he or she is in, she will have a different perspective on things than her classmates and co-workers. Even if the scenario is similar, there will always be different viewpoints. So I was able to understand that one way in which my communication skills can improve is acknowledging the differences and being open-minded.

In my initial posting I stated that I art allows one to use its imagination and creative skills to express his or her self. Art gives an individual the opportunity to escape from reality. After completing the course I still believe my initial definition was accurate but I also learn that they are more aspects of Art. Art tells stories, explain and set emotions, they teach its audience about cultures, history and events. Most importantly it improves communication skills.

In the beginning of the course I did not have a favorite artist. After completing the course, even though I taught that each artist was unique and interesting I still do not have a favorite artist.

After completing the course I found that I still have the same answer as my first posting. I always taught that taking an online course is convenient to students. It gives students the opportunity to use technology to learn materials, and it gave them the chance to be independent in their education.
